In the racetam class, Lucetam 1200 mg is a nootropic drug called 2-oxo-1-pyrrolidine acetamide. Lucetam 1200 mg is primarily prescribed for myoclonus but is used for other conditions as well.

HOW Piracetam WORKS:

Lucetam impacts neural and vascular processes and affects cognitive function without functioning as a stimulant or sedative. Lucetam is an AMPA receptor's positive allosteric modulator. Operation on ion channels and carriers is speculated, leading to increased excitability of neurons.

Lucetam 1200 mg is used in combination with other medicines for the treatment of myoclonus (uncontrolled muscle jerk), Vertigo, Dyslexia, Renal Impairment, and Hepatic Impairment.

USAGE:

Lucetam is usually taken one tablet 3 times a day. Always consult your doctor before taking any prescription of it. It has a different set of doses for different diseases. The dose is taken orally with or without a meal.

DOSAGE:

The usual dosage is one tablet (800 mg) three times a day in cerebrocortical insufficiency disorders. A dosage of 7.5 gm per day in myoclonic seizures, rising by 4.5 gm per day every 2 to 4 days to a total of 25 gm per day in 2 or 3 divided doses.

SIDE-EFFECTS:

The side-effects incorporate headache, drowsiness, sleeping disorder, nausea and stomach pain.
