|Drug Name: Binocrit®
Generic Name: Epoetin Alfa
Binocrit (prefilled syringes) Epoetin Alfa is known as the highest-quality drug for the treatment of Anemia caused by kidney failure and chemotherapy in cancer. This drug is closely like the natural substance in your body (erythropoietin) that precludes Anemia.
Binocrit (prefilled syringes) Epoetin Alfa is an injection. It contains the active ingredient epoetin alfa, an artificial protein that energizes bone marrow to build more red blood cells. Red blood cells are responsible to provide oxygen to all parts of your body. This mechanism of providing energy to various body parts is the key factor in the use of these drugs as doping agents. A decrease in the number of red blood cells can cause a medical illness called anemia.
Binocrit Usage by Athletes:
Binocrit is often used to increase performance in sports activities. It contains the active ingredient epoetin alfa, an artificial protein that triggers bone marrow to build more red blood cells. This drug is best for athletes because increased red blood cells provide oxygen to the full body and energize it. Iron is also a constituent of red blood cells. Therefore, iron supplements and other blood stimulating drugs may increase your response to Binocrit treatment. Binocrit can be used with a guarantee that it works in an energy-enhancing manner. Sportspersons like cyclists can use it with surety.
Usage of Binocrit (prefilled syringes) Epoetin Alfa
Binocrit (prefilled syringes) is used to cure chemotherapy-induced Anemia which results in decreased production of a hormone called erythropoietin by the kidneys due to kidney failure. This anemia may also be induced by taking zidovudine to treat HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). Few symptoms of anemia are feeling cold, tiredness, and breathlessness while exercising.
It can also be prescribed by a doctor to mildly anemic patients who are going to have certain surgery and donate blood for their use before surgery so that it can be given to them during or after surgery.
It is not addictive. This medicine is available only with a doctor's prescription.
Limitations/Side effects of Use:
